Hamilton Southeastern dropped its regular-season finale to Lawrence North 78-60 in a Tuesday home game.
The Wildcats led 16-14 after one quarter, then pulled further ahead in the second quarter for a 38-26 halftime lead. The Royals played even with LN in the third period, as both teams scored 17 points, but the Wildcats finished the game with a 23-point fourth quarter.
Lucas Weemer scored 17 points for Southeastern. Braeden Totten hit four 3-pointers on his way to 14 points, while Jack Jacobs scored 11 points. Totten led the rebounds with six and handed out four assists, while Varscon Clark dished out six assists and blocked two shots.
The Royals are 13-11 and will play the winner of a first-round sectional game between Carmel and Noblesville in next Friday’s (March 7) Sectional 8 semifinals.
