The Hamilton Southeastern boys golf team picked up two big wins this week.
On Wednesday, the No. 4-ranked Royals edged out No. 1 Westfield 300-301 in an 18-hole match at Prairie View. Southeastern’s Cole Starnes and the Shamrocks’ Jake Cesare were the co-medalists with 72s.
Other Royals scores were Upchurch 75, Zedrick 76, Benson 77 and Warner 78. Westfield’s other scores were A. Cesare 75, Harvey 75, R. Cesare 79, Kooi 80 and Shull 80.
Southeastern followed that up Thursday with a 131-176 nine-hole victory over Park Tudor. Zedrick was the medalist, setting a new individual school record with a five under par 31. The Royals’ team score of 131 also tied a school record. Other HSE scores were Starnes 36, Mattingly 36, Warner 36 and Benson 37.
