Hamilton Southeastern gave its fans a thrilling win on Friday, as the Royals edged out Brownsburg 57-56 in an overtime finale to their home and Hoosier Crossroads Conference season.
The Bulldogs led 11-10 after the first quarter, then Southeastern pulled ahead 21-19 by halftime. Brownsburg took over in the third period, holding a 36-30 at the start of the fourth. But the Royals tied the game at 44-44 at the end of regulation, then outscored Brownsburg 13-12 in the extra period.
Sam Jacobs scored 19 points, while Donovan Hamilton added 18 points, including four 3-pointers. Tyler Lacy led the rebounds with seven, followed by Hamilton and Michael Griffith with five each. Deion Miles dished out four assists.
Southeastern completed conference play with a 3-4 record and is 8-12 overall. The Royals play again this afternoon at Shenandoah.
