Royals beat Hounds in all-county game

Hamilton Southeastern won an all-county game over Carmel 60-49 Friday on the Greyhounds’ Bill Shepherd Court at the Eric Clark Activity Center.

The Royals led 14-8 after one quarter and extended that lead to 32-17 by halftime. Southeastern went up 51-33 after three periods.

Maverick Young led the Royals with 18 points, making four 3-pointers. Braeden Totten was next with 16 points, followed by Landon Osswald, who scored 10 points, pulled five rebounds and dished out four assists. Jack Jacobs handed out six assists, while Varschon Clark scored nine points and also collected five rebounds.

Ben Bremer led Carmel with 12 points, hitting three 3s, while Evan Harrell scored 11 points and led the Carmel rebounding with six. Bremer also dished out four assists and Harrell blocked two shots.

The Royals are 12-10 and play at Brownsburg next Friday in their Hoosier Crossroads Conference finale. The Greyhounds are 9-9 and play tomorrow at Avon.
