Rosemary Orbaugh Kaiser

February 16, 1929 – October 17, 2019

Rosemary Orbaugh Kaiser died peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones early Thursday, October 17, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer. Fondly known as “Corky”, she was born in Noblesville on February 16, 1929 to Mary (Clifford) and Noel Ego Orbaugh, who preceded her in death.

In December 1954, she married Phillip Kaiser, who also preceded her in death in 2003. Also preceding her was a brother, Clifford Orbaugh, who died as an infant in 1925.

She graduated with the Jackson Central High School Class of 1947 and worked at Herff Jones in Indianapolis after graduation. She followed in her mother’s footsteps as Clerk Treasurer of Cicero in 1961 for 18 years, and worked for the Town of Cicero until she retired in 2013 at the age of 84. She was raised and lived her entire life in Cicero.

Rosemary was actively involved with Bethel Lutheran Church, where she was the church treasurer for over 40 years, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Altar Guild for over 50 years. She was also a member of the local American Legion Post 341 Auxiliary.

Rosemary was an avid fan of music and theatre. She often traveled with friends to see the Purdue Glee Club and Straight No Chaser. She loved to travel, especially to Colorado to visit her grandkids and family, as well as her favorite mountain town of Breckenridge.

Survivors include her loving children, Kimberly Kaiser and Marcia Kaiser, both of Cicero, Bruce Kaiser, Arcadia, and Lisa Jo (Jon) Lebsack, Fort Collins, Colo. Her pride and joy were her grandkids, Slade Lebsack and Audrey Rose Lebsack, both of Fort Collins, Colo., as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration gathering will be held from 4 to 7 p .m. on Friday, November 1, 2019, at Hartley Funeral Home, Cicero Chapel, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero. The Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 20650 Cumberland Road, Noblesville, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m.
