Ronnie Eugene Parsons

June 23, 1943 – November 2, 2024

Ronnie Eugene Parsons, 81, of Sheridan, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 23, 1943, to Dallas and Beulah (Ewing) Parsons in Pennington Gap, Va.

Ron was a 1962 graduate of Saint Charles High School in Saint Charles, Va. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a paratrooper and arsenal specialist. Ron was a dedicated UAW member of Ford Motor Company for 31 years as a machine operator. He was a devoted member of New Light Christian Center of Noblesville under Pastor Mike Risden.

Ron loved to spend time with his family and friends. His hobbies were golfing, fishing, watching NASCAR races and watching football and baseball. But, most of all he loved talking to friends and even strangers about the Lord and their salvation. He was a born-again Christian with a strong faith in God.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Parsons; daughter, Rhonda (Greg) Evans; son, Tony (Lisa Michelle) Parsons; grandson, Michael Mossburg; eight step-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; sisters, Trevia Roller, Ennine Rode, and Sherri (Steve) Varney; brothers, Alvin (Thea) Parsons, Hershel Parsons, and Joe (Lisa) Parsons; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members; and his loyal kittens, Zara and Thomas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Herman Parsons, David Parsons, and Tony Parsons; sister, Geraldine Parsons; nephew, Randy Parsons; aunt and “second mother,” Levy Mae Ewing; and beloved companion dog, Gizmo.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with Pastor Michael W. Risden, Pastor Alfred Parks, and Pastor David Blythe officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. Raised by Heros will lead the procession to the burial at Spencer Cemetery in Sheridan.
