Roger William Webb

February 8, 1933 – November 3, 2022

Roger William Webb, 89, Noblesville, passed away on November 3, 2022. He was born on February 8, 1933, to William & Virginia Belle (Sumner) Webb.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Barbara Stauffer Webb; and his younger sister, Mary Lou (Webb) Kowal of Wilmington, N.C. He also leaves behind five wonderful children, William Sumner Webb, Nancy Margaret Karl (Dick), David Stauffer Webb (Jane), Mary Ruth Pate (Tom), and Allison Webb; and a legacy of seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

After graduation from Yale University in 1955, Roger served two years active duty in the U.S. Army as an Artillery Officer, then four years in the reserve. He was a steel salesman in Pittsburg from 1959 to 1966. Roger worked as a bond salesman in Chicago from 1967 to 1978. He became Chief Investment Officer at Gary National Bank from 1978 to 1989. He finished his career in Indianapolis as the Deputy Commissioner of Securities for the Indiana Department of Insurance from 1990 to 1998.

Roger was a Master Mason (Life Member) Euclid Lodge #65 in Naperville, Ill., 32nd Scottish Rite CHGO, IL, and past member of St. Elmo Society (Yale), University Club of Chicago, and his beloved Saenger Chor. He was a charter member of the Noblesville Fire Department Merit Commission from 2006 to 2018.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date to be determined. His ashes will be interred in Naperville Cemetery in Illinois with the family plots.
