Westfield picked up its first win of the season on Saturday, sailing past Pendleton Heights 58-41 at The Rock.
It was the first home game of the year for the Shamrocks, and they took control early, leading 16-7 after the first quarter. Westfield outscored the Arabians in each period, leading 34-24 at halftime and 47-34 after three quarters.
Alyssa Crockett scored 25 points for the ‘Rocks, including three 3-pointers. She also had eight rebounds and four assists. Crockett poured in eight points in the first period, then added seven more in both the second and third quarters.
Jessica Castor added 12 points. Chesney Tebbe and Olivia Robey both dished out four assists.
Westfield is 1-1 for the season and plays Tuesday at Tri-West.
