Rocks have perfect showing at Columbus North Invitational

The Westfield boys wrestling team finished a perfect 5-0 at the Columbus North Invitational last Saturday.

The Shamrocks triumphed in all five of their duals, beating Columbus North 46-12, Cascade 62-12, Bloomington North 69-6, Monrovia 65-10 and Brown County 84-0.

Five Westfield wrestlers went 5-0 in their matches: Connor Maddox at 106 pounds, Porter Temples at 120, Trevor Humburg at 126, Eli Turner at 175 and Cam Echard at 215. In addition, Job Mavrick was 4-0 at 285 pounds and Carter Niccum was 3-0 at 132 pounds.

Four more Shamrocks were 4-1 for the day: Brayden Head at 113, Jake Saez at 144, Graydon Staley at 150 and Max Brown at 165. Alic Washburn was 3-1 at 138.
