Westfield sailed to its fourth win in a row on Saturday, beating Decatur Central 72-45 at The Rock.
The Hawks led 13-11 after the first quarter, but the Shamrocks began to get going in the second quarter, scoring 16 points to lead 27-22 at halftime. Westfield blasted through the second half, outscoring Decatur Central 45-23. The ‘Rocks led 49-34 after three periods and extended its lead in the fourth.
Braden Smith had another solid all-around game with 29 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals. Cam Haffner contributed 16 points. Smith, Haffner and Luke Naas all hit two 3-pointers.
Kai Butterworth collected four rebounds, while Benji Welch handed out four assists.
Westfield is 15-4 and wraps up its regular season Tuesday at Frankfort.
