Westfield dropped a hard-fought regular-season finale to Ben Davis on Tuesday, 61-56 at CSI Gymnasium.
The Shamrocks got off to a tremendous start, leading the Giants 22-10 after the first quarter. Ben Davis cut that lead to 25-20 by halftime; Westfield poured in 20 points in the third quarter to push its lead back to 50-42. But the Giants took over in the fourth period, outscoring the ‘Rocks 19-6.
Ellie Kelleher scored 24 points for Westfield, and also had five steals and four assists. Emmrey Collinsworth and Kiki Loveless both collected five rebounds.
The Shamrocks are 12-9 and take on Zionsville next Tuesday in the first round of the Noblesville sectional.
