Westfield dropped its regular-season finale on Tuesday, falling to Class 3A No. 9 Greensburg 53-44.
The Pirates led 20-9 after the first quarter and 29-10 at halftime. The Shamrocks, playing on their Senior Night, roared back in the third period to cut Greensburg’s lead to 41-31, but the Pirates were able to hold on in the fourth quarter.
Ava Henson scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers, and collected five rebounds, while Alyssa Crockett adding 10 points and led the rebounding with seven. Olivia Robey also had five rebounds, while Madi Kerrigan had three blocked shots.
Westfield finished the regular season 13-10 and will host Zionsville at 6 p.m. next Tuesday in the first game of Sectional 8.
