Westfield blocked its way to victory at Rushville on Saturday, as the Shamrocks defeated the Lions 49-45.
Rushville led 28-25 at halftime, and increased its lead to 38-33 at the end of the third quarter. But Westfield came back in the fourth, outscoring the Lions 16-7 to get the win.
Gigi Eldredge was one of three players in double figures for the ‘Rocks, scoring 13 points. Ashtin DeCraene and Jade Shipley each had 12 points. Alyssa Crockett grabbed eight rebounds and made four blocked shots. As a team, Westfield totaled nine blocks, with Jordan Hillis and Eldredge both making two and DeCraene getting one.
The Shamrocks are 8-2 and will host Carmel on Tuesday.
