Westfield’s boys basketball team cruised past Yorktown 62-33 Tuesday in a makeup game at CSI Gymnasium.
The Shamrocks, now ranked No. 4 in both the IBCA one-class poll and the Associated Press Class 4A list, jumped out to a 20-5 lead after one quarter. Durante Morton scored six points in the first, with Jalen Malone adding five points. Westfield led 29-15 at halftime, then surged ahead to a 45-22 advantage after three quarters. Morton added another seven points in the third.
Morton scored 15 points, with Jalen Malone scoring 11 points.
Westfield is 10-1 and hosts Brownsburg Friday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference girls-boys doubleheader.
