Westfield dropped a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game at Avon Friday, by the score of 68-57.
The Shamrocks led 18-10 after the first quarter and were up 30-23 at halftime. But the Orioles came back in the second half, leading 40-35 after three periods, then pouring in 28 points in the fourth.
Three Westfield players reached double figures. Zach Banks led with 18 points, while Braden Smith threw in five 3-pointers on his way to 16 points. Caleb Welch scored 15. Smith grabbed four rebounds.
The ‘Rocks are 1-4 in HCC play and 8-6 overall. They host Greenfield-Central at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
