Robert D. Jones, 92, Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. He was born on June 25, 1930, to Charles and Constance (Leffert) Jones in Bourbon, Ind.
Bob proudly served in the United States Army. He was a Purdue graduate and member of First Presbyterian Church. Bob worked as an engineer for AT&T for many years, and after retirement he worked at Stony Creek Farms in Noblesville. In his early years, Bob was a farmer. He enjoyed being a pilot and flying. Bob loved John Deere tractors and growing pumpkins.
He is survived by his grandson, Matthew (Julie) Jones; granddaughter, Ashley Jones; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Jones; stepdaughters, Kathy (Patrick) Newell and Susan (Bill) Shorter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty June Jones, in 2000; second wife, Beverly Curtis Jones; son, Douglas Jones; siblings, Carl Jones, Helen Seifert, Marge Lundeguard, and Charles Jones.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with Pastor Eric Gale officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial with Military Rites will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
