Riverview Health Foundation has been awarded $5,000 from the Duke Energy Foundation to enhance the care of newborns in its maternity center. This generous funding will be used to purchase Pasteurized Donor Human Milk (PDHM) from the Milk Bank, ensuring more infants have access to life-saving nutrition and support during their earliest days.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support from Duke Energy,” Associate Chief Nursing Officer Michelle Allen said. “This grant will allow us to provide critically needed donor milk to newborns in the Riverview Health maternity center, ensuring they receive the nourishment they need to thrive. It is a testament to the importance of community partnerships.”
The Duke Energy Foundation is focused on strengthening and uplifting communities with grant funding, reducing structural barriers and promoting access to opportunity for underserved communities. This grant is part of Duke Energy’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the health, safety and well-being of local communities.
“Duke Energy regularly partners with organizations that are making a difference in the lives of people across Indiana,” Duke Energy Government & Community Relations Manager Mark LaBarr said.
