Legendary singer, dancer and actress Rita Moreno has rescheduled an appearance at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel that was postponed in December because of laryngitis.
An Evening with Rita Moreno is now set for 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Palladium, 1 Center Green, Carmel. Previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new date, and ticket sales have resumed at TheCenterPresents.org. Ticket holders with questions may contact Patron Services at Tickets@TheCenterPresents.org.
Moreno is among few performers to have won the Oscar, Tony, Emmy (two) and a Grammy Award, as well as the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Debuting on Broadway at age 13, she went on to appear in more than 40 feature films (Singin’ in the Rain, West Side Story) and countless TV shows (The Electric Company, Oz). She currently appears in the acclaimed Netflix reboot of One Day at a Time. Her Palladium performance will feature standards from the Great American Songbook and stories from her stellar career.
Sponsored by Wells Fargo Private Bank, An Evening with Rita Moreno is part of the Hoosier Village Songbook Series and the 2020-21 Center Presents Season sponsored by Allied Solutions.
