Dear Editor:
I endorse Mark F. Hall in the upcoming Republican Primary on May 8 and ask that you vote for Mark.
For the past 22 years I have had the pleasure of serving you, the voters of Hamilton County, on the County Council. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve.
As a County Council member, I serve as part of a team that protects your tax dollars. In that function I oversee, critique and vet transactions that impact all of our wallets. I applied the same rigorous standards in determining my endorsement.
I endorse Mark Hall because:
- Mark has the business background and financial acumen to be an immediate asset on the County Council.
- Mark understands the need to be independent of the Commissioners, which his opponent does not.
- Mark will work in a collaborative and cooperative manner with others on the Council as well as the Commissioners, but would not capitulate to them.
For years, I have seen up close how his opponent conducts himself as a County Councilor; as such, my faith has been eroded to the point that, today, I have zero confidence in his continuing to be a member.
As a Council Member who knows the job, who knows the skills required and who experiences first-hand what is missing from the present District 3 Council member, I endorse Mark F. Hall for County Council District 3 and ask that you support him with your vote in the Republican primary election on May 8.
