Richard G. “Dick” Hon

March 29, 1929 – April 27, 2021

Richard G. “Dick” Hon, 92, Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at his home. He was born on March 29, 1929 to Richard and Mildred (Graham) Hon in Indianapolis.

Dick played basketball at both Warren Central High School and Butler University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the early 1950s in France. Dick worked as a draftsman and designer for RCA/Thompson Communications and later at White River Christian Church. He was a member of First Christian Church of Noblesville. Dick enjoyed following the NY Yankees and Notre Dame teams and enjoyed history and cooking.

He is survived by his sons, Kevin E. (Angela) Tague and Ronald S. Hon; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Karie, and Amanda; four great-grandchildren, Sarah Grace, Haven, Jaelynn, and Harlin; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Hon; and his nephew, Jim (Beth) Smith.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Deanna L. Hon.

Services will be held at 3 p.m., with visitation one hour prior, on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
