Three county departments to move into remodeled Humane Society building

Hamilton County will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Monday, May 12 to celebrate the opening of the Hamilton County Pleasant Street Offices, a newly renovated county facility at the southwest corner of Pleasant Street and State Road 37 in Noblesville.

The 12,000 square-foot building, formerly home to the Humane Society for Hamilton County, has been completely gutted and repurposed to house three county departments: Household Hazardous Waste, the Soil & Water Conservation District, and Weights & Measures.

Dillinger

“The buildings on this campus were all built in the 1940s as part of the original Hamilton County Airport. They are all well past their prime,” County Commissioner Steve Dillinger said. “Repurposing the old Humane Society building, demolishing the old buildings, and placing these departments under one roof will help them function more efficiently.”

The building served the Humane Society for Hamilton County from 2006 to 2021 before the organization relocated to a new shelter in Fishers.

The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting event.
