As a retired Hamilton County Superior Court Judge, many have approached me about who I believe the best candidate to fill the judicial vacancy left by Judge Steve Nation’s retirement.
I have chosen to support Will Riley for Judge. My experience as a former judge in this county has shown me that his demeanor, extensive bench trial and jury trial experience in complex litigation and strong desire to serve his community make him the best candidate to fill Judge Nation’s vacancy.
The same attributes that I have recognized in Will have also been recognized by others. Most recently, for example, Will was selected as a semi-finalist to sit on our Indiana Supreme Court. Will has also been selected by federal judges to serve as litigation chair for complex federal multi-district litigation. Finally, he was recently selected by our Indiana Supreme Court to serve as a judicial officer over an attorney disciplinary proceeding.
I wish all of the judicial candidates in this race the best of luck. Hamilton County is fortunate that its best and brightest are willing to serve its citizens.
