Lions from across Indiana gathered for their 35th Mid-Winter Conference last Saturday at the Crown Plaza Indianapolis – Airport hotel.
A dinner was held Friday evening, with the main event on Saturday complete with seminars, a luncheon, and a keynote speaker. Seminars addressed topics such as decoding the “alphabet soup” of Lions acronyms and abbreviations, when to ask for help, how to partner with other community organizations, grant writing, how to grow Lions membership around the world, and planning for the upcoming Lions International Convention in Melbourne, Australia.
It was great to see so many caring people together in one place to learn more about serving their communities. If you’d like to find out about what it means to be a Lion, go to LionsClubs.org and click “Join.” There you can search for your local club.
