Last weekend, Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.-05), traveled to Stockholm, Sweden, with a bipartisan group of legislators as part of the 86th EU-US Inter-Parliamentary Meeting of the Transatlantic Legislators’ Dialogue.
Rep. Spartz also met with the government of Sweden and issued the following statement upon her return:
“I urge all our allies to support Sweden’s accession to NATO. Transatlantic cooperation is critical in these challenging times for European and global security. Sweden is committed and on a fast track to reach all NATO goals, which will also strengthen the alliance’s capabilities.”
During the three-day event, Rep. Spartz engaged in discussions on topics including the war in Ukraine, sanctions enforcement, Global South policies, NATO enlargement, and EU-US trade.
The bipartisan delegation also included Rep. Andy Barr (Ky.-06), Rep. Ed Case (Hawaii-01), Rep. Ben Cline (Va.-06), Rep. Jim Costa (Calif.-21), Rep. Bill Huizenga (Mich.-04), Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove (Calif.-37), Rep. Barry Moore (Ala.-02), Rep. Nathaniel Moran (Texas-01), and Rep. Amata Radewagen (American Samoa-At large).
