Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.-05) issued the following statement on her National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) “Yes” vote:
“The 2024 NDAA makes some major improvements to strengthen national security, improve pay for service members, depoliticize the military and increase fiscal oversight by Congress”, Spartz said. “I am particularly glad that all three of my amendments aiming to address failed DOD fiscal management, reconciliation of the aid to Ukraine and implementation of innovative data analysis for risk management were included in the bill. However, there is still one important issue remaining – “honorable discharge” for the service members forced to leave active duty due to the COVID vaccine mandate, which Speaker McCarthy promised me to address when the bill comes back.”
