“These young men have done a great job representing our community and Mount Vernon High School,” Jeter said. “I think sports are really important for young Hoosiers because they teach them life lessons like how to overcome adversity, how to work as a team, how to win, how to lose, how to chase after your dreams and the benefits of hard work. I think those lessons can be building blocks that mold young men into leaders.”

In the state championship title game against Northridge, Mount Vernon won 45-15.
