The Indiana Bar Foundation will hold its 2025 Indiana Civics Summit from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 17 at the Ivy Tech Conference Center, 2820 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis.
This annual one-day conference brings together leaders from government, education, business, nonprofits, and the legal community to discuss and promote civic education and engagement across the state.
This year’s summit will feature keynote speaker Jeffrey Rosen, President and CEO of the National Constitution Center. He will discuss his latest book, The Pursuit of Happiness: How Classical Writers on Virtue Inspired the Lives of the Founders and Defined America. Each attendee will receive a complimentary copy of the book, with an opportunity for signing by the author.
The summit’s agenda includes showcases of civic education and engagement programs for youth throughout Indiana and a preview of activities planned for America’s 250th anniversary in 2026. These sessions aim to highlight successful initiatives and inspire collaborative efforts to enhance civic participation among young Hoosiers.
“The 2025 Indiana Civics Summit is a vital opportunity to bring together leaders and educators who are committed to strengthening civic education and engagement in our state,” said Charles Dunlap, President & CEO of the Indiana Bar Foundation. “We are honored to welcome Jeffrey Rosen as our keynote speaker, and we look forward to insightful discussions that will help prepare the next generation of informed and engaged citizens.”
Tickets are priced at $50, covering both breakfast and lunch. Seating is limited to the first 200 registrants with a registration deadline of Monday, April 7.
