Registration for Carmel Parks autumn programs underway

Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation (CCPR) says it has more programs than leaves falling from your trees this fall. CCPR is currently accepting registrations for its autumn schedule that runs from September through December.

Hundreds of programs for every age and ability are offered each season, and autumn 2018 is no exception. Among the exciting and unique programs offered:

  • DIY/Maker programs that explore woodworking, engineering, technology and arts and crafts
  • Family programs like night hikes and edible adventures
  • Adaptive programs geared toward individuals with disabilities like Family Archery Day, Nutcracker Dance, Teen and Adult Muscle Up and social opportunities like Fantastic Friday and Adult Karaoke Night
  • Homeschool programs like coding and web design as well as art, discovering nature and the popular Homeschool Gym
  • New programs this year like a Unicorn Party, Jedi in Training, Fairytale Adventure Day and Edible Art

As always, aquatics are an ongoing emphasis at CCPR. If your child has been enjoying swim lessons or a swim team this summer, autumn is a great time to keep those skills sharp while providing some activity after a long day at school. And don’t forget the numerous adult swim opportunities that include Adult Stroke Technique as well as in-the-pool fitness classes like Aqua Tabata, Aqua Zumba and Gentle Aqua.

CCPR offers three ways to register for classes: Online at carmelclayparks.com, by visiting the Monon Community Center, or by printing a registration from the website and mailing it in.
