Reginald Lamar Stepp

July 14, 1943 – January 9, 2026

Reginald Lamar Stepp, known affectionately by his loved ones as Reg or Reggie, passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 82. He was born in Noblesville on July 14, 1943.

Reggie was an adventurous and resilient man with an unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He was courageous in every aspect of his life, whether it was in his more than 30 years of employment at Steel Parts in Tipton or his love for the great outdoors. Reggie was an avid coin collector and a skilled woodworker. In his youth, he was an avid sportsman enjoying trapshooting, hunting, and fishing. He often embarked on hunting trips out West. He always maintained a garden, a testament to his love for nature and his dedication to nurturing life.

Reggie was widowed, but his legacy lives on in his family. He is survived by his sons, Brian (Michelle) Stepp and Ron Stepp, stepdaughter, Kim (Larry) LaVictoire; grandchildren, Matthew, Dylan, Danielle, Donavin, and Amanda; great-grandchildren; brothers, Tracy (Debbie) Stepp and Tom (Sherri) Stepp; sister, Sherrie (Robert) Reed; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt Lamar Stepp and Elizabeth Joan (Woods) Wallace; his beloved wife, Sarah (Wilson) Stepp; his daughter, Jill Stepp; and his brother, Michael Stepp.

Reggie’s life and memory will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society. Reginald’s care is under the direction of Hartley-Dunnichay Funeral Home in Cicero.
