Shop among 50 artisan vendors, enjoy live music & good food

The First Presbyterian Church (FPC) of Noblesville will hold its seventh annual Red Geranium Artisan Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20 at the church, located at 1207 Conner St., Noblesville. The market features a variety of local, tri-state and international artisans, food, live music in a festive open-air environment.

Visitors will find 50 different artisan vendor booths located both inside and outside the historical church. The Red Geranium committee juries all the artisans and only selects unique, one-of-a-kind, and handmade items to provide a variety of shopping that includes fine art, antiques, furniture, boutique clothing, children’s clothing and accessories, photography, jewelry, wood, fiber, mosaic and glass craft, pottery, garden art, re-purposed and up-cycled unique creations and more.

This year, the market has 35 returning vendors, including a few long-time artisan favorites like Anderson Ironwork & Woodcraft Design, Studio 510 Women’s Boutique, DLC Designs, Gem.Geek, and the unique pressed flower art of Always in Bloom. Along with the 50 artisan booths, the seventh annual Red Geranium will have live, local talent at the music stage throughout the day to entertain you and several food options to snack on while you shop. The market is a family and pet-friendly event with no admission fees and plenty of free parking available at the City Hall parking lot on 10th Street.

The Red Geranium Artisan Market is different than most craft shows because it is branded as “A Market with a Mission.” Each of the artisans rent booth space for the day from FPC to help the church’s mission team raise money for local, state, national, and international mission projects it sponsors. New this year will be a special international artisan booth, which will showcase handcrafted items like pysanky eggs made by Ukrainian artist Marina Shepeluk of Zhytomyr, Ukraine, and “Africa Bags – The Bags of Hope” made in Malawi, Africa. The sale of these items will go directly back to the artisans who made them. Several of the artisan vendors donate all their sales to local charitable organizations. Be sure to look for the heart shaped signs indicating these special people who serve others through sales of their artwork.

As you can see, the Red Geranium Artisan Market is a special event. The members of FPC are proud to serve others and hope to provide all visitors with an extraordinary day of art, music, food, fun for whole family in a relaxed and friendly environment.

More about First Presbyterian Church’s Mission Program & History of the Red Geranium Market

Submitted

Seven years ago, the First Presbyterian Church’s (FPC) mission team decided we wanted to create a fun outreach day for our community that would promote local artists while generating income for our local, state, and international mission projects. Our first market was held in 2016, with around 20 excited and eager vendors. Each year the market has grown in size and variety of vendors.

FPC believes that mission is crucial to the life of our church. As believers, we are called to actively spread God’s word and love to make a positive difference in the world, whether it be our loved ones or strangers from another country.

FPC actively supports local, state, national and international missions. Some of the local mission projects we support are Habitat for Humanity, The Good Samaritan Network, Hamilton County Humane Society, Janus Developmental Services, Noblesville Boys & Girls Club, Samaritan’s Purse (Operation Christmas Child), Family Promise of Hamilton County, Serve Noblesville, FeedingTeam.org of Hamilton County, and the Christian Free Legal Clinic.

Our national and international mission projects include OMS (One Mission Society) Hungary, CRU New York, Last Bell Ukraine, and Dorcas Basket Dominican Republic.
