Dear Editor:
I am writing in support of Jennifer Kehl for Fishers City Clerk.
I have known Jennifer for over 50 years, since the day we met in elementary school. I can attest to Jennifer’s honesty, loyalty and integrity in all areas of her life. She is married to George Kehl, the former 38-year police chief of Fishers, and together they raised two sons, one of whom is also a police officer.
The Kehl family has deep roots in Fishers. Jennifer has resided in Fishers for over 40 years and her husband is a lifelong resident.
Jennifer has always been very dedicated to the Fishers community and has served in many organizations that are committed to promoting Fishers. She served as the Executive Director of the Fishers Freedom Festival for 25 years. Under her guidance, the festival grew from humble beginnings into a two-day family-favorite Fourth of July celebration. I volunteered for the festival for several years and I was able to observe her incredible organizational skills. There are so many details and moving parts involved in producing a successful event and she accomplished it with confidence and aplomb.
Jennifer also helps fundraise for the Hamilton County and Noblesville Fraternal Order of Police through the annual softball tournament and silent auction. It has been my experience that if you ask Jennifer to help, she will do so willingly and always has innovative ideas to share.
These skills of organization, attention to detail, and her strong work ethic have served her well as Fishers City Clerk since 2015. She has a great love for the city of Fishers and is deeply committed to serving the citizens of Fishers as City Clerk.
Please vote yes for Jennifer Kehl on or before May 2!
