Dear Editor:

Just when you thought the Senior Class at Noblesville High School had been through enough with the COVID-19 pandemic, they get another huge slap in the face.

The Senior Parade on June 1 was awesome as the students got to ride in vehicles being cheered and announced as they passed by cameras streaming the event. Then passing by their teachers from over the years cheering them on.

Graduation on this past Saturday, again being streamed because the weak leadership of Noblesville Schools, Beth Niedermeyer (Superintendent) and Craig McCaffrey (Principal) couldn’t possibly plan a live event to honor our graduates. The speech by McCaffrey was weak at best and a rehash of someone else’s prior speech … nothing original.

Now the slap I mentioned. My granddaughter goes to get her diploma when she turns in her books and tablet and gets her diploma from someone she doesn’t even know. Beth Niedermeyer and Craig McCaffrey, one of which should have done it you’d think, didn’t have the humanistic quality to be there for our graduates!

It’s time for new leadership in Noblesville Schools because neither of these two have it.

Congratulations to the Class of 2020, the LEADERS of TOMORROW! All the best to you.
