Randy William Donaldson, 72, Carmel, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was born on September 2, 1948 in Vincennes, Ind., to Floyd Thomas and Violet (Mitchell) Donaldson.
Following his high school graduation, Randy attended Vincennes University and Anderson College.
Randy was employed as Manager at McDonald’s more than 30 years. Following retirement, he worked at Lowes in the plumbing department.
Family was a priority, and he loved his grandchildren dearly.
Randy enjoyed fishing, hunting, and always looked forward to his annual deer hunting trip to Michigan with friends and family.
As a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church, Randy served as Deacon, taught Sunday School for many years and volunteered in helping with the Buildings and Grounds department.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his daughter, Meaghan Elaine Donaldson.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Linda (Colegrove) Donaldson; children, Matthew Donaldson, Emily (Brad) Brocklehurst, and Sara Donaldson; three grandchildren, Isabel Brocklehurst, Abigail Brocklehurst, and Lucas Smith; and a sister, Joy Etzel.
Family and friends will gather at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2021 in Northside Baptist Church, 3021 E. 71st St., Indianapolis, where the Funeral Service will begin at 1:30 p.m.
A Committal Service will follow in Carmel Cemetery.
