Carmel’s Rajeev Ram is into the quarterfinals of the Men’s doubles competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Ram and partner Austin Krajicek are the fourth seeded team at the Olympics, which features a 32-team draw. In the first round, the Americans beat the Australian team of Alex de Minaur and Alexei Popyrin 6-2, 6-3. That moved Ram and Krajicek into the second round, where they defeated Brazil’s Thiago Monteiro and Thiago Seyboth Wild 6-4, 7-6 (3).
Ram and Krajicek’s next opponents will be the powerhouse Spanish duo of two-time Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz and the legendary Rafael Nadal. The match will take place today.
