Ralph J. Feuerstein

August 17, 1941 – July 21, 2018

Ralph J. Feuerstein, 76, Carmel, formerly of Belding, Mich., passed away Saturday morning July 21, 2018 in Michigan, under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Michigan. Ralph was born on August 17, 1941 in Belding, the son of Ambrose & Martha (Lehman) Feuerstein. He graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1959 and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from January 1960 to December 1963.

He lived in Indiana for many years and had a long career in the telecommunications industry. After retiring he kept busy delivering RVs and doing other odd jobs. “AFAB,” he used to say: “Anything for a buck.” Ralph loved spending time at “Ralph’s Family Cabin,” near Baldwin, Mich. He was a hard worker, had a great sense of humor and loved his family. Ralph’s motto was to “give ‘em something to remember you by.” He will be greatly missed.

Ralph is loved and survived by his children, William L. “Bill” Feuerstein, Pentwater, Deborah L. “Debbi” (Brent) Smith, Linda “Jo”  Weave, both of Carmel; his grandchildren, Cassey (Andrew) Golden, Cindy (Eric) Alvarez and Mark Steven Weaver IV; his great-grandchildren, Ava, Aiden, Blake and Cameron; his siblings, Marge McQueen, Belding, Joyce (Paul) Wynn, Greenville, Phil (Colleen) Feuerstein, Robert (Ann) Feuerstein, both of Belding; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Kohn, Belding. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Rose Kohn, and a brother-in-law, Gene McQueen.

His family wishes to express sincere gratitude to all those who have been involved in his treatment and care over the last two years. He has made many friendships.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding, with the Hospice of Michigan Chaplain, Kaye Ferguson-Patton officiating. Committal prayers and military honors will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Miriam. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Michigan or to a charity of one’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
