The Hamilton Heights track and field teams competed at the Hoosier Conference meet Friday night at West Lafayette.
The Huskies girls finished a close third with 90 points, right behind Northwestern’s 91 points. West Lafayette dominated the meet by scoring 183.
Heights had two individual winners. Markaela Pugh finished first in the 200 dash, and Kelsey Smith was the winner of the high jump. Maria Mitchell set a new school record in the 1600 run, finishing third in a time of 5:09.40.
In the boys meet, the Huskies placed fifth with 67 points. Tad Defoe earned runner-up finishes in two events, the 100 dash and the long jump.
