Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation (CCPR) invites the community to participate in a second public input meeting to share their vision for Bear Creek Park. The public workshop will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, in the Jill Perelman Pavilion, 3000 W. 116th St., Carmel.
CCPR and its consultants will report insights from the first round of public input meetings and discuss park programming options. Feedback gathered during the workshop will help CCPR develop the Bear Creek Park Master Plan. The master plan will help guide the ultimate design of the park’s development over the next several years.
Additionally, a representative from SmithGroup, the consultants who are creating the master plan, will be on site at Bear Creek Park from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13 to answer questions and share findings from the first round of public input.
Bear Creek Park was purchased in 2020 and is comprised of more than 26 acres of undeveloped land located in northwest Carmel at 146th Street and Shelborne Road. Additional public workshops, park visits, and online options will be offered throughout the master plan process.
