Donation will support language translation services for survivors
Prevail, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to empowering survivors of crime and abuse, recently received a $10,000 gift from Elements Cares, the philanthropic arm of Elements Financial. This generous award will enhance Prevail’s ability to provide vital language translation services to survivors, ensuring support for all individuals seeking help.
Prevail’s commitment to serving the community also includes a full-time bilingual advocate who works closely with Spanish-speaking survivors. The $10,000 gift from Elements Cares will expand language accessibility, ensuring that survivors who are deaf or hard of hearing or who speak other languages can also receive trauma-informed services without barriers.
“When survivors can communicate in the language, they are most comfortable with, they feel seen, heard, and get the immediate help they need to feel safe,” Prevail Executive Director Tami Wanninger said. “This support from Elements Cares will help us continue breaking down barriers and creating a welcoming, inclusive space for everyone.”
As Hamilton County’s only provider of comprehensive advocacy services for victims of crime and abuse, Prevail serves more than 3,100 individuals annually.
“Elements is honored to support Prevail, Inc. and their efforts to serve their diverse communities and clientele in central Indiana,” said Matt Snively, Chair of Elements Cares at Elements Financial and SVP, Elements Wealth Management. “Their efforts meet our pillar of giving for Healthy Lifestyles. We appreciate all Prevail is doing to provide a range of essential services and hope to the individuals and families they serve.”
With the support of community partners like Elements Financial, Prevail can continue its mission to empower survivors of crime and abuse on their path to healing.
