Police hope Pickett softball benefit is a fundraising home run

The Noblesville and Hamilton County FOP lodges want to welcome everyone to attend a full day of softball and family activities on Saturday, April 28 at Morse Park & Beach in Noblesville. Opening ceremonies will begin promptly at 8:40 a.m. and the first games of the day will start at 9 a.m. The softball tournament will run throughout the entire day with the championship game taking place at 5 p.m.

Eight law enforcement teams from across the region will participate: Noblesville Police Department, Carmel Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Howard County Sheriff’s Office, Boone County Sheriff’s Office, Blackford County Sheriff’s Office, the Indiana State Police and Chicago Metro. The concessions will be open all day with all of the normal varieties you’d find at a ball game as well as some other options for lunch. A 50/50 raffle will take place throughout the day.

The organizations will have several family activities on site at the Hamilton County FOP Lodge grass area which will include games, face painting, a photo booth and much more. There will also be a silent auction in the FOP area with over a dozen items to pick from (corn hole boards, gift baskets, autographs from the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers, hot air balloon ride, whole-home carpet cleaning and much more). The silent auction will run all day with a closing time of 4 p.m. Attendees are fortunate to have Malachi’s Magnificent Lemonade there as well selling his famous lemonade. There will also be a beer garden at the FOP lodge.

All proceeds for this event are going directly to the Pickett family. Please come out and enjoy a fun-filled day of softball and family activities.

If there is a rainout on April 28, softball will take place on Sunday, April 29 at the same times.
