As we near the end of a long winter, why not get together with friends and neighbors to share some laughs?
On Saturday, Feb. 22, CrossRoads Church in Westfield is holding its fourth annual Pizza and Punchlines, a free comedy event at Westfield High School, 18250 N. Union St. Pizza is served at 6 p.m. and the comedy show starts at 7 p.m.
According to Lead Pastor Eric Lohe, the show is family-friendly and features three nationally known entertainers.
New York resident Ross Bennett will host this fun night. Joining him will be Lee Hardin from Nashville, Tenn., and headlining will be Kay Dodd from Atlanta, Ga.
Pizza and Punchlines is part of the church’s For Our Neighbor initiatives to serve the people in the local community.
“This event is one of three big free events for our community so that people can meet, know, enjoy, and serve their local neighbors,” Lohe told The Reporter. “We say it this way: In our world, sometimes it seems like people have lots working against them. What if we chose to be FOR one another? What if we sought to understand one another and care for our neighbors who have needs? What if we gave each other hope and a reason to live?”
This event is free and open to the public.
