Phyllis (Guilkey) Mendenhall, 103, Noblesville, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Riverview Health in Noblesville. She was born on September 16, 1920, to Arza and Orpha (Garverick) Guilkey in Noblesville.
Phyllis was a legal secretary for 40 years, working for Roberts and Roberts, then Kyle and Profit. She was a member of First Friends Church, the United Society of Friends Women, Profit and Pleasure Home Economics Club, NHS Alumni Association, and Senior Citizen Organization. Phyllis loved reading, enjoyed auctions, and liked crafting.
She is survived by her sisters, Barb (Dick) Lawson, Harriet Wise, Patricia Paskins, and Ruth Stoops; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Heavy” C. Mendenhall; brothers, Carrol Guilkey, Roland Guilkey, Max Guilkey, and Dallas Guilkey.
Services will be held at noon on Wednesday June 5, 2024 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St. Noblesville, with Pastor Rick Schoeff officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
