Carmel continued to make its presence known at the Phillips 66 Swimming National Championships Friday night.
This time, it was Claire Adams’ turn. The most decorated swimmer in IHSAA history with 16 state championships, Adams reached the “A” final in the women’s 100 backstroke. She placed seventh in the morning preliminaries, then returned to place eighth in the finals. Adams just finished her freshman year at the University of Texas.
