Pete Schwartz, successful businessman, lifelong Noblesville resident and longtime civic volunteer, will run for the District 2 seat on the Noblesville Common Council in the May 2019 primaries.

A realtor with Carpenter Realtors, Schwartz developed his strong work ethic as a child in his family’s store. He went from serving as a cashier while standing on a milk crate to eventually managing the store. After pursuing a business degree through Ivy Tech and Purdue University, Schwartz became the sales manager for a large automotive dealership and moved into a district management role for U-Haul before becoming a realtor. He has also served as a reserve officer with both the Noblesville Police Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department.
His candidacy is the latest example of his commitment to ensuring that the community where he was raised continues to be attractive to families and businesses. Schwartz serves on the board of Keep Noblesville Beautiful and has been an active volunteer with White River Rescue and other local non-profit organizations.
“It’s important to me to preserve Noblesville’s history and traditions while simultaneously adapting to future generations,” Schwartz said. “My priorities include keeping our city safe, our schools top-notch, and our roads and traffic flowing. Just as important, I want to ensure complete transparency with citizens on the community’s projects. I believe it’s vital to make myself available to any concerned citizen who wishes to have a conversation about our city.”
As a child, Schwartz watched his father work with the county and give back to the community. He looks forward to his own opportunity to shape Noblesville’s future. Schwartz is particularly excited about the ongoing improvements to the city’s network of roads.
“I share our community’s concerns about traffic as Noblesville continues to grow. It’s imperative to plan carefully so we stay ahead of potential traffic problems,” said Schwartz. “At the same time, I see the trail projects leading into downtown Noblesville as a great way for more of our citizens to have safe and easy access to the value and charm of our historic downtown square.”
Schwartz and his wife, Amber, reside in Noblesville with their two children. Conner attends Noblesville West Middle School and Emmalee is a student at Hazel Dell Elementary School.
