Peggy Ellen Montgomery, 79, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at IU Health North Hospital in Carmel. She was born on October 15, 1937 to Harry and Myrtle (Morefield) Melter in Morton, Washington.
Peggy retired from Fred’s Frozen Foods in Noblesville after working for them for 26 years; and was a member of Lakeview Wesleyan Church in Noblesville. She was a coin and stamp collector, an avid reader, and enjoyed sewing and traveling; but her greatest joy came from caring for her family.
She is survived by three children, Carol (Jesse) Killmon, Charles Montgomery and John Montgomery; sister & brother, Ruby Masterson and Ronald Richard Melter; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Montgomery; son, Kenneth Lee Montgomery; daughter, Molly Irene Huffman; brother, Harry Melter Jr.; and sister, Mona Hadaman.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Lakeview Wesleyan Church, 396 Park Street in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Dr. Richard Schenck and Rev. Carol Schenck will officiate.
