Patricia Ann Mosbaugh

May 4, 1926 – February 27, 2025

Patricia Ann Mosbaugh, 98, Arcadia, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Grandbrook Memory Care. She was born on May 4, 1926, to Thomas and Inez Fay in Anderson, Ind.

Patrica attended Walnut Grove High School during her freshman and sophomore year. She then transferred to Shortridge High School in Indianapolis where she graduated in the Class of 1945. While attending Walnut Grove for those two years she met her husband, Malcolm Mosbaugh. They married on February 18,1949.

Patricia spent her early years of marriage as a housewife and mother before taking a position with the Hamilton Heights Schools in 1968 as the bookkeeper and secretary at Cicero Elementary/Hamilton Heights Elementary, retiring in 1984.

Following retirement, Patricia took up the game of golf, becoming a prominent member of the Tipton Women’s Golf League. She became an avid player of the game participating in multiple tournaments throughout central Indiana. She was also a cherished member of the Cicero Women’s Book Club. After her husband’s retirement from farming, they enjoyed RVing with two other close couples finding their way to places in Florida and Texas. Later, they traded RVing for a winter home in McAllen, Texas. While enjoying this time together they also enjoyed the company of their beloved dogs, Gretchen, Mitzy, and Sassy.

She was a cherished mother of two sons, Thomas (Kathy) Mosbaugh of Noblesville and Jeffrey (Angel) Mosbaugh of Arcadia; the proud grandmother of Ryan Mosbaugh (Kelli), Nicole VanSchouwen (Marshall), Aaron Mosbaugh, Chad Mosbaugh, and Nicole Arvin (Zach); and the adoring great-grandmother of four.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Thomas Fay.

Patricia’s wishes were to be cremated and to have a private graveside service, surrounded by her loving family when the weather improves. The family has entrusted her wishes and care to Hartley Funeral Home, Cicero.

Patricia’s spirit, vibrant and warm, will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. We invite you to celebrate Patricia’s life by sharing your memories and photos on the memorial page. Your tributes will serve as a testament to Patricia’s beautiful life, her generous spirit, and her loving heart.
