The Carmel girls found themselves on a wrong end of a comeback Friday night, as the Greyhounds fell at North Central 47-40.
Carmel led 13-9 after the first quarter and 22-15 at halftime. Mackenzie Thomas had her usual strong game, scoring eight points in the half. But the Panthers began their run in the third quarter, cutting the Greyhounds’ lead to 30-29 by the end of the period. North Central then scored 18 points in the fourth to finish the second-half comeback.
Thomas scored 14 points and led the rebounds with six. Emily Roper pulled five rebounds.
Carmel is 5-6 and hosts Portage this afternoon.
