Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton has been named a 2024 NBA All-Star starter, it was announced Thursday by the NBA. The 73rd NBA All-Star Game will be played at 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
This is Haliburton’s first time as a starter and second consecutive season as an All-Star. Haliburton joins Paul George, Jermaine O’Neal, and Reggie Miller as Pacers players elected as All-Star Game starters.
“This means the world to me,” Haliburton said. “Shout out to all the fans, my peers, and the media for the love that I’ve received, and I’m excited to represent the organization, especially with the event here in Indiana this year. I can’t wait to share this weekend with everyone who played a part in helping me achieve this honor.”
He has appeared in 34 games (all starts) this season and is averaging a league-high 12.6 assists, 23.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 33.4 minutes per game.
Haliburton became the first player in NBA history to record multiple career games with 25+ points, 15+ assists and zero turnovers, and did so during consecutive games at Philadelphia Nov. 12 and 14. He is also the only player in NBA history to record three career games with 20+ points, 17+ assists and zero turnovers, all of which have occurred this season.
