OneZone Chamber will welcome Dr. Latha Ramchand for this month’s Eggs & Issues.
Dr. Ramchand is the current IU Indianapolis Chancellor. She will share how the downtown campus will change going forward and the plans for IU Indianapolis. Joined with her is the Vice President of University Relations, Michael Huber.
Dr. Ramchand was named inaugural chancellor of IU Indianapolis and executive vice president of Indiana University effective Feb. 12. In addition to her executive leadership role, Chancellor Ramchand will serve on the Indianapolis faculty of the Kelley School of Business as professor of finance. She joins IU Indianapolis at a pivotal time in its history and brings the energy and vision that will help launch IU Indianapolis as one of the nation’s premier urban research universities.
Huber leads Indiana University’s government relations efforts at the state and federal level as well as its economic engagement initiatives. In this role, he is responsible for leveraging IU’s vast educational resources, talent, expertise, discoveries and innovations, partnerships and other resources – particularly those in key areas that Indiana has targeted for investment and growth – toward contributing to the state’s future economic prosperity and improving the lives of Hoosiers.
