At least one person died Thursday afternoon after two semis crashed on Interstate 69 outside Fishers. An INDOT dispatcher confirmed the crash to News 8.

INDOT says sometime around 1:45 p.m., two semi-trucks were involved in a crash. As a result, one semi caught fire.

At least one person died in the accident. It was unclear if there were any other injuries.

All lanes of I-69 north and southbound were closed as of 2:30 p.m. The Fishers Police Department says traffic is being diverted near exit 210.

INDOT says the scene is still active and was unsure how long the highway would be closed. News 8 has reached out to Indiana State Police for more information.
