Fishers marked a significant milestone Wednesday with the groundbreaking ceremony for The Union at Fishers District, the final phase of a $750 million development near Interstate 69 and 116th Street.
The Union at Fishers District will feature 57,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and entertainment space, along with 70,000 square feet office space and 251 apartments.
“The Union at Fishers District is a shining example of how thoughtful development can enhance innovation and an exceptional quality of life,” Mayor Scott Fadness said during the ceremony.
The Union will feature a 135-room AC Hotel by Marriott and a variety of food and entertainment options, including:
- Everbowl, a fast-casual eatery featuring smoothies and açai bowls
- Racha Thai, an upscale Thai restaurant
- The Oakmont, a modern American cuisine restaurant
- Renova Aesthetics, a medical spa
- Sweathouz, a cold plunge and infrared sauna studio
- Niku Sushi.Kitchen.Bar, modern Japanese cuisine
- Kitchen Social, craft cocktails and global cuisine
- Piedra, Flavors of Mexico, an upscale modern Mexican restaurant
The residential component, The Union Flats, will offer 251 modern, upscale apartments above ground-floor retail space. Amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, community grilling areas and electric firepits, a dog park, and a pet spa with grooming station.
Inside the studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, residents will find kitchens equipped with quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliances, a full-size washer and dryer, and large walk-in closets.
Developers Thompson Thrift began work on the Fishers District development in 2015. Once completed, the project will span 123 acres and offer a wide range of residential, dining, shopping, and entertainment options.
